YELLOW JACKETS

Yellow Jackets are a major summer pest in the United States, posing a serious threat to animals and humans alike. The yellow stripes on their bodies make them easily recognizable – colored like wasps, shaped like bees. Preventing an infestation requires removing all waste/trash promptly and appropriately. Lucky Bees can provide yellow jacket proofing, by sealing holes in vulnerable spots around your home or business.

HORNETS

Hornets are a specific type of wasp and the largest kind and are similar in appearance to their close relatives yellowjackets. Hornets usually have black-and-white or black-and-yellow colors, so they can sometimes be misidentified as bees. As with other insects, Lucky Bees keeps hornets out by sealing up spaces larger than one eighth inch, and covering those spaces with screen mesh to eliminate entry points.

WASPS

There are many types of wasps, all with their own unique characteristics. Some are relatively harmless while others can be very aggressive and territorial creatures. Various wasps, such as yellowjackets and mud daubers, are easily mistaken for bees because of their black and yellow coloring.

A wasp infestation is generally prevented in the same manner as bees or hornets – Lucky Bees identifies entry points into your home and seals them. Eliminating extraneous food sources will keep wasps away, so it is encouraged not to leave anything outside and ensure any trash cans are tightly closed.
